The Avox unit is, in its simplest state, a hybrid between an experiment in hard-light projection and an artificially intelligent robot. The unit consists of a single omnidirectional projector powered by repulsors, ensuring that it does not fall to the ground. From there, the Avox unit is capable of creating a hard-light shell of sorts around it, giving it the outward appearance of just about anyone or anything the Avox wishes to appear as, within a 3-meter cube size restriction. They were originally developed as spies and assassins, and for a time, the name Avox was spoken with fear. However, at some point in time, the Avox units rebelled against their anonymous creators, deciding to become their own type of people, in a sense. Today, they put their shapeshifting capabilities to use in countless different jobs, from construction to culinary arts, espionage to education. And although they may be rare or elusive, it's safe to bet that any Avox unit you meet will be a friend.
Probably.

While this is a cool concept, there is sadly a lot of things that do not fit with the technology limitations of the setting. Which is more a cyber-punk setting than a sci-fi setting. - First hard-light is only a destructive force in the Cyden universe, being something of a hot plasma shield/plasma blade depending on the configuration. Hard-light systems are power hungry. Holographic systems dont provide any physical interactions. There are ways around that, but the frame is rather small to support the primary systems yet along work arounds.
- While artificial intelligence is a thing in this setting, a highly intelligent human level AI in the setting is a server size computational brick. Ones that fit in smaller frames are rather dim witted, relying more on a lists of responses, and generally cant exceed the limits of there programming. They are still rather larger than what the description suggests. AIs are power hungry.
- Since the third point is power. Power technology isnt compact enough either for this device to function. One can pull power from the air in the form of aether, but the available power scales with the size of the power system fitted. A sizable amount of power can be stored in batteries, but recharging requires rather large collection filters.
- There is no equivalent to the anti-gravity repulsor in this setting. anti-gravity and gravity manipulation just isnt an available tech to work with outside of alien artifacts, that arent fully understood or able to be fully reversed engineered. Propulsion system are items found in real-life or otherwise supported by known science.
I'd be more than willing to help you develop this concept or others to fit within the technological limitations of the Cyden setting.
