i found my n o t e s
---
Place: Houston, Texas
Name: “Concrete Jungle”
Geographical Information: Located near the Gulf of Mexico, perhaps less than, or an, hour away from the Gulf itself. Flat land, Houston is not near hills or forests, and has instead been reduced to being above what seems to be a lake that moves.
Information: Houston took an elevation within its manmade structures due to permanent flooding, causing inhabitants to move upward, but still stubbornly stay in the city. The southern city is mostly just technology, and lit with fake lights during the night. Daytime usually has periods of extreme or mild flooding (normally flash floods due to the inability of the water to return to the ground due to concrete) during the seasons of “El Nino” which affects the Americas with lots of rain.
Culture: The culture has only revolutionized due to the historical discoveries and technology within Cyden, and also having been able to move a majority of the population above ground to avoid the flooding and devastation. Most all jobs are technology based, requiring the younger population’s fast understanding of developing electronic devices and softwares / hardwares. The air is not particularly healthy, as the water cannot escape from the concrete streets easily, leaving any upturned sewer openings just leaking into the already disgusting left over rainwater. Pesticides are an everyday thing, heavily used upon the water to beat back the enormous biting bugs.
Majority: Humans are the majority of either major race groups living in Houston. Their anthropomorphic neighbors aren’t treated as fairly as others , though not terribly to a point of abuse. Humans harbor almost all economic activity and businesses, but are incredibly helpful with quaternary activities with information distribution.
Minority: Anthropomorphics are a minority here, although not as small as one would think. The main species that it consists of are domestic dog breeds, domestic cat breeds, reptiles like lizards or geckos, and a few that are gators, ironically. Each of the specific breeds fit into criteria and niches for their specific breeds. [i.e., bulldogs are protectors, pitbulls are bodyguards, tabby cats or alley cats work well with persuasion in market, gators are exceptional fishermen, etc. All of them are early warning systems for storms, tornados, hurricanes, hail, or the possible earthquake due to the San Andreas fault if it slips.]
Caution: The large mosquitos within Houston can carry mild diseases AND severe ones, making it a rather large caution. The rival gangs (Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs) also make conflict that can end with death, staying off the streets and keeping to yourself is your best bet for safety within Houston [as already is, in modern times now]. Overall, the city is patrolled enough to be safe aside from the other cautions.
