To do what I want to do with 90's design, I need some technology. I want to go beyond a simple stereo or guitar amplifier. Taking all the way up to 11, I am thinking rock concert in a suitcase.
I can't fit enough lights on her body so want to add even more on an external frame.
The issue is some parts I don't think will work as projected holograms or hard light.
Things like speakers and spotlights ... even hologram projectors if they have a limited range... probably need to lofted into position via flying drones.
What kind of flight technologies would exist for propelling the remote controlled drones? Would they use rotors like a helicopter? Some kind of jet engine?
Is anti-gravity tech available to civilians to power their toys and gadgets? If it does what would it look like?
For that matter, what are the uses and limits of hard light?

Hard light is a type of projected solid material comprised of condensed light. The more force that is applied to it, the more energy it will take to keep it powered and solid. So for simple aesthetic stuff a normal charge could probably last quite a while, so long as no one decides to mess with it. At that point though, you are better off with a hologram. Still takes energy to run, but it might be safer that hard light. They do make blades out of the stuff for good reason. As for jets and rotors? I mean, they have made leaps and bounds in jet technology thanks to the "model T of spacecraft" so I would imagine that its not too far fetched that jet tech has gotten smaller and better. But drones with quad rotors to fly around would also be a possibility.
Anti-gravity? I think if they had that than supercities would be floating around the planet rather than firmly planted to the ground. If it exists, its not accessible to the public or its just too wonky to use realistically. I am open to being proven wrong here though :3
